The design for the Urus Performante is Lamborghini’s fullest expression of the unyielding principle, “Form follows function.” The liberal use of lightweight carbon-fiber components allows for a significant weight reduction and is a principal characteristic of Urus Performante’s design: sporty, sleek and undeniably bold, with proportions that reflect those of a super sports car.

The interior of Urus Performante is made for its driver, enhanced by the use of innovative and lightweight materials such as Alcantara and carbon fiber. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The roaring heart of Urus Performante is its 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine. With 666 CV and 850 Nm, this powerplant offers enhanced performance through the more responsive pedal, increased boost buildup, more traction in launch phase and enhanced shifting timing. The new Torsen central differential delivers more torque to the rear wheels during acceleration, resulting in improved performance on track and optimal traction on lower-grip surfaces, particularly on white roads.

ANIMA

The ANIMA Selector is at the heart of Lamborghini driving dynamics as the key control system for choosing the desired setup. As with the Urus, Urus Performante presents three on-road modes: STRADA for ease of driving, comfort and safety; SPORT for agility, responsiveness and utmost fun-to-drive; and CORSA for precision and maximum performance. Urus Performante also presents a brand-new ANIMA mode: RALLY, to deliver the best experience and fun-to-drive on low-grip surfaces.

EGO mode redefines the dynamics in terms of steering, suspension and traction as specified by the driver.

CHASSIS

The vehicle dynamics control systems of the Urus are cutting-edge, but Urus Performante goes a few steps further. The new active chassis systems and the torque-vectoring system with rear-wheel steering are calibrated to deliver even greater agility and lightness, aided by the vehicle’s wider track and more sporting suspension.

High-performance tires enhance handling: the Urus Performante is optionally equipped with Pirelli Trofeo R tires for even greater responsiveness and grip, resulting in even faster lap times.

AERODYNAMICS

With Urus Performante, aerodynamics are greatly enhanced, with improved efficiency thanks to elements such as the new front air curtains and rear spoiler with side fins in carbon fiber. The air curtains improve airflow from the front to the side of the car, while the rear spoiler generates more downforce. This innovative design update improves aerodynamic efficiency by 10 percent and increases downforce by 38 percent: stability, reliability, and a performance mindset. Finally, air outlets on the front are ducted to improve engine compartment cooling.

LIGHTWEIGHT APPROACH

The Lightweight Approach is the diamond in the collection of jewels the Urus Performante has to offer.

This is accomplished through a 360° Lightweight Approach that employs carbon-fiber elements to reduce its weight (47kg lighter than the predecessor), thereby improving driving dynamics and delivering ultimate performance. Three elements are particularly significant in the exterior design: the redesigned carbon-fiber front bonnet, the full carbon-fiber roof and the wider carbon-fiber wheel arches. In addition to employing more carbon-fiber components than any other vehicle in its category, the Urus Performante incorporates an exhaust system made of ultra-light titanium, whose sound is anything but lightweight.
